As part of rounding up her COVID-19 Community Immunity Ambassadors Project, YOUTHHUBAFRICA selected and supported Emerging Genderplus Outreach Team to provide community sensitization and awareness to young women and girls in Tungamaje, Abuja. The sensitization exercise took place on the 15th December, 2020. Our team demonstrated to participants simple COVID-19 public health and safety measures. At the end of the project, the participants made commitments to adhere to the Federal Government COVID-19 safety protocols such as wearing a mask, physical distancing, washing your hands regularly, coughing to your bend elbow etc. In addition, the participants were introduced to YOUTHHUBAFRICA online COVID-19 prevention course to further build their capacity on the health benefits of adhering to COVID-19 safety measures.
